Hello and welcome or welcome back to Evenings with Addy. A small town girl trying to find the good in life.
This week I did lots! On Wednesday night I went to see the new Superman movie with my sister and my dad. 4.5/5! I really enjoyed it! It might have been a bit better if the volume was turned down a few notches.
Also on Wednesday, I finished my skirt! I sewed it all by myself! I have pictures of the skirt and the designing of it just below! I used Sydney Graham’s guide on YouTube!
On Thursday, I headed down to the thrift shop after work to pick up some more fabric for sewing! I started an older style shirt called the Jiffy Wrap Blouse in a light pink to match my skirt. I am winging the pattern with inspiration from Sew What? Gilly.
I also went on a little walk through the garden with my mom and we caught the most breathtaking sunset! It was such a gorgeous night!
On Friday, I was stretching while seeing my mom out the door and I pulled something in my neck an hour before I had to be at work. I couldn’t move my neck to the left AT ALL! But I was able to get in with my chiropractor by noon and I’m feeling much better!
Also on Friday, my sister and I sat down on the couch with dinner and snacks to watch Materialist; It wasn’t my kind of movie but my sister enjoyed it.
Saturday, I went to the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival with my dad and handed out chocolate bars to the kids. I had a good day with him and I even got to go through the car wash! After the parade, we went to a little crape cart called Viva La Crepe. I got a Nutella crepe with strawberries and it was very tasty!
Sunday, I got my nails done with my sister after church. She got yellow french tips and I got nails inspired by the hungry caterpillar! By far my favourite set I’ve ever had!
Monday was just the picture perfect day. I worked up, read a new arc (advanced readers copy) I had gotten approved for, played some Stardew Valley, made cinnamon buns, made dinner, made candles and then made some chocolate chunk cookies to bring into the office. It was a busy but pleasant way to spend my day off!
That’s all for today, you next Tuesday!
